After an absence of 11 years from the competition, Miriam Christine will be participating again in the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (Moscow) which is taking place on Saturday 7th of February at MFCC in Ta’ Qali.
After an absence of 11 years from the competition, Miriam Christine will be participating again in the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (Moscow) which is taking place on Saturday 7th of February at MFCC in Ta’ Qali. She will be performing her own song ‘Mama’.
Miriam Christine had first competed in the competition in 1995 with the song ‘The Way You Are’ (written by Mario Caruana and Mario F. Caruana) placing fifth. She then managed to win the competition in 1996 with the song ‘In A Woman’s Heart’ (written by Mro. Paul Abela and Alfred C. Sant) and went on to represent Malta in Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest. Having gone successfully through the semi-final , she placed 10th in the final night. Her last participation in Eurosong goes back to 1998 when she sang ‘It’s Up To You’ (written by Ray Agius and Alfred C. Sant) and had placed 5th.
All preparations for Saturday’s performance are coming to an end. Rehearsals are fully underway and Miriam Christine is enjoying performing on stage. She would like to take this opportunity to thank her team who are rallying around her to make sure that all goes well on Saturday.
